Stanley Cup looted by Disneyland Pirates

Although the Walt Disney Company no longer owns the Anaheim Ducks of the NHL, there is still a close affiliation between Disneyland and the Anaheim sports franchises. When the Ducks visited Disneyland after their championship year, they brought the Stanley Cup trophy with them.

The trophy went on the new Nemo attraction and was even looted by Disney’s famous Pirates Of the Caribbean. Sounds like fun. LA Times Theme Park blogger Brady MacDonald has a great photo of the trophy resting in the POTC treasure room along with other photos from the trophy’s travels. (Link) photo courtesy Disneyland.
