Nominations for the Annies, the International Animated Film Society equivalent of the Oscars, were just announced. Pixar’s Cars tied Dreamwork’s Flushed Away for the most nominations with nine each. However, Dreamworks studio has the most nominations of any studio. The awards winners will be announced on February 11th.
The Annies are important as the winner traditionally goes on to win the Academy Award later that year. The Annie’s webpage isn’t updated yet, but look there soon for a complete list of the nominations.
