The Toys are back in town… again

  • by

One of the first things John Lasseter and company did when they were brought down to the Walt Disney Studios for the first time after the merger is to stop production on Toy Story 3 by Disney’s ‘Pixar Killer’ team Circle 7. Lasseter believes that sequels should be done by the unit that did the original flick. What was left unresolved was whether Toy Story 3 would ever return to production.

Looks like that answer is yes. Upcoming Pixar is reporting that Tim Allen let the cat out of the bag. Lasseter will be back to direct and Tom Hanks is likey to return to voice Woody. No word if Slinky Dog, voiced by comic genious Jim Varney who sadly died in February of 2000,  will be recast or written out.
