Thoughts During Movies: The Hundred Foot Journey Edition
Distributed by Touchstone, The Hundred Foot Journey was released in theaters this weekend. It’s been a while since I’ve done this, but I had a lot of thoughts during this film, so I had to let you into my brain during the film. It’s not a typical review, but I think it gets the idea across.

- Loving the score so far, fusion of French and Indian musical themes. Does that thought make me “musically inclined”?
- Wow. That’s a super depressing way to start a film.
- Okay, this first 15 minutes is incredibly slow, and if I have to hear “Papa” one more time, I’m going to explode. I may also explode on the person sitting behind me, rubbing their foot against my chair.
- Helen Mirren has arrived, and she is a female dog. Can’t not love her, though, which I sense will be a problem for me accepting this movie.
