Zan has done a yoeman’s job of stitching together 150 panels of public domain USGS 1 foot resolution color Urban Image data to make a new overhead shot of the Disneyland Resort from sometime around December 2003. At one foot resolution you can pick out some amazing details (statues, christmas decor, attraction vehicles).

The Incredibles, a review

Pixar has been batting 1000 with their animated feature films until now. Without being formulaic, the creative minds in Emeryville have managed to hit upon the recipe for fantastic success with each new release. The Incredibles is the least formulaic feature yet and likely to be the most successful.
Not content to stand on their successes of the past, Pixar brought in the team from the new classic animated film, The Iron Giant. Director Brad Bird and his team of storytellers and artists admittedly had little to no experience with computer generated animation, Pixar’s specialty. This meant they had no idea of the limits of the media and were able to push the boundaries of CG animation to new and exciting places.
While watching the video, the one memory that was brought back to life was that of Communicore. Apparently Disneyland Paris was in a bit more financial trouble than previously believed. It had to file for bankruptcy again. This new plan should provide it some needed dept relief and investments in new attractions. Hopefully things will finally turn around for this debt strapped company.
