Getting your sweet on at the Magic Kingdom will soon get an upgrade as the park prepares to refurbish the Main Street Confectionary and The Chapeau ahead of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary.
This morning Disney announced that a fresh look is coming to the space. It will include a larger footprint with more room to shop and new interactive opportunities to have your confections customized.
We stopped by the Main Street Confectionery just yesterday where we took these photos of the yummy Easter themed treats:
While we were at the Magic Kingdom yesterday, we noticed that the Main Street Cinema was closed. Turns out that will be one of the locations where you’ll be able to find your favorite sweet treats while the Main Street Confectionery is closed for its upgrades. The other is The Emporium across the street.
Looking for a new lid or pair of Mickey ears? Disney hats have already moved to the Town Square Theater, aka Box Office Gifts. This repurposes an area that had previously been either the photopass shop or a troubleshooting station for those with MagicBands.
What about the Disneyana collectibles and artwork that used to be for sale inside Main Street Cinema? That is moving into New Fantasyland inside the Bonjour! Village Gifts.
We expect to see more pixie dust upgrades around the park as we inch closer to the launch of The World’s Most Magical Celebration this October!
