Specialty license plates, often called vanity plates, are a popular way to show your support of a favorite brand or cause. With the first-ever Florida license plate designed to honor Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary you get both.
The plate features the logo for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” and 100 of the proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish of Central and Northern Florida.
The plate design features the “EARidescent” 50th anniversary castle logo on a royal blue background that will stand out from Florida’s typical white and green plates. The color scheme is inspired by the new look for Cinderella Castle. We like that it says “Walt Disney World” at the bottom too.
Florida residents can sign up for the pre-sale phase of the plate and help make dreams come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions via the Make-A-Wish foundation.
A new plate design has to find 3,000 car owners to adopt the design before the state starts to produce the new vanity plate. We don’t think that will be a problem for Walt Disney World.
To be one of the first to get a speciality Walt Disney World 50th anniversary plate, purchase your pre-sale voucher for $25 from your local County Tax Collector’s Office or a State of Florida authorized license plate agency (DMV).
The Walt Disney Company has a long history of partnering with Make-A-Wish to make wishes come true for children facing medical battles. Dating back to 1980, more than 140,000 Disney-inspired wishes have been granted.
At Walt Disney World, Wish families can take advantage of a special lounge just for them in the Magic Kingdom too.
