Ever since it’s opening on June 5, 2009, Paradiso 37 has brought its own take on Mexican and South American cuisine to Walt Disney World’s multi-cultural plate. Located right near the center of Disney Springs, this restaurant boasts two bars and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy. Like many locations right now, they offer a limited menu, but Molly and I decided to grab lunch here anyways.
We we’re sat towards the back of the facility alongside their giant glass windows. It was a beautiful spot that enabled us to enjoy the water, views of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort as well as the hot air balloon that takes guests for a ride in the sky. We got situated and we’re excited to check out the drink menu. Perhaps our favorite part of our lunch came next when our server told us about the happy hour offered.
The deal they offered was $5 Margaritas, select beers and finally Sangria. You would be hard pressed to find a better deal on drinks on Walt Disney World property. We both ordered the Margarita and enjoyed them quite a bit. It packs a punch in terms of flavor though we would recommend ordering them without salt unless you enjoy a lot of it.
As we looked over the limited food menu, our server made us aware that the Columbian Burger was one of their signature items. This burger came topped with queso blanco, pineapple chutney, cilantro crema and bacon. I ordered it medium and was extremely impressed. It has now become one of my favorite burgers to get on Disney property and the garlic parmesan fries that we’re served with it we’re very tasty as well.
Molly ordered a salad and an order of these fries and enjoyed the fries as much as I did. We both enjoyed the pineapple chutney on the burger as it gave it a tangy flavor that was unexpected yet delicious. The price of the burger was a little steep for lunch time as it was priced at $21 however, the flavors made me think about the price a little bit less.
We enjoyed a few more rounds of the happy hour and finished the rest of the meal but enjoyed our experience quite a bit. Although it is priced a little steep, the happy hour was a fantastic deal and the signature burger was fantastic. We would recommend this location for the food but if you have other plans, grab a to go happy hour drink from the outside bar and enjoy an evening stroll anyways.
