For the live-action movie, Disney went back to the source material and rewrote the script from the ground up. The result is an epic adventure story that that retells the legend of Hua Mulan. The expectations of spectacular stunts are pretty high in a live-action movie like this. A new featurette trailer goes behind the scenes to see how the stunts were rehearsed and filmed for Disney’s “Mulan.”
The stunt coordinator for Mulan is Ben Cooke. As with a lot of action epics, there’s a lot of rehearsal ahead of time. Actors learn how to run, jump, roll, handle weapons, and get comfortable on the rope rigs that will make their stunts look effortless after the wires are digitally removed. In
We like to see Cooke and the stunt team get spotlighted on projects like this and this featurette certainly raises our expectations for the movie.
