If you find yourself needing to take Walt Disney World’s bus transportation on your next visit to the parks, you might encounter one of six bold new designs coming the the resort. The “Sensational Six” look will feature the familiar faces of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto and colorful designs to match.
The refurbished buses have new blue seats and laminate floors. Disney has also been adding USB charging ports to some of its buses, which will allow you to keep your mobile devices and other battery operated devices (such as cameras) charged while in between the parks and resorts. That’s a good idea.
Of course there’s a video tour:
A few years ago we had the opportunity to experience a prototype bus that was never meant to transport guests, but served as an example of what Disney was exploring for future buses.
I like the idea of offering more mobile services for guests on the bus. Wifi and USB charging points are cool. In the future maybe we’ll see augmented reality features built into the windows or buses designed to run on renewable energy sources.
With more around 450 buses in its fleet, Disney Transportation rivals that of many major metropolises and is the third largest in Florida.
We like the fun new look of the Sensational Six and can’t wait to take advantage of the charging ports next time we encounter them. Our phones can always use a top off.
Lipstick and rouge.
