Mary Poppins Returns soundtrack features new songs and loving tributes to the original

If you had a time machine to go back to my childhood room you would see a small record player and on that would be the Mary Poppins soundtrack from Walt Disney Records. I played the songs over and over again until I had memorized them all. I expect the soundtrack for Mary Poppins Returns will be on high rotation for a new generation of fans.

With music from award-winning film and Broadway musical veterans Marc Shaiman and Scott Whitman and vocal performances from everyone from Lin-Manuel Miranda (yes, he raps in two of the songs) and Emily Blunt to a surprisingly wonderful performance from Meryl Streep and a charming appearance from Angela Lansbury, the new soundtrack has songs that you will be humming leaving the theater. The movie score also has many loving homages to the original music from the Sherman Brothers.
