A month from now Star Wars fans will be lining up to see the first preview Thursday night showings of “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” the movie that promises to give the origin story for one of Star Wars most iconic duos – Han Solo and Chewbacca. It takes a whole crew to tell the highly anticipated story and Disney and Lucasfilm have just released a new set of nine character posters to give us a look at the primary cast of characters.
We love the vintage 70s western feel of these posters, updated to modern sensibilities with that Millennium Falcon cockpit outline in the background. The bold colors used in illustrations really make these stand out.
If you were a teenager again, which character poster would you hang on your bedroom wall?
According to Ron Howard’s Twitter account, post-production wrapped this week. That means all that’s left is distributing the movie and promotion.
That’s a wrap on post production! #Solo @HanSoloStory #SkywalkerRanch Wow. What a movie-making adventure it’s been! Thanks to a terrific cast & extraordinary folks behind the camera as well. You’ve worked so hard to fully realize this cool story. Hope fans have a blast! #May25 pic.twitter.com/SeSSXZirBZ

Catch “Solo: A Star Wars Story” at a theater near you on May 25, 2018.
Why doesn’t Joonas Suotamo get credit for playing Chewbacca on the poster?? Every other robot and CGI character gets an actor credit. Seems like a wookie mistake.
