Disney’s El Capitan Theatre right in the middle of Hollywood will hold a special double feature fan event on May 25th. Guests will be among the first to see the new film in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise “Dead Men Tell No Tales.” The first film in the double feature is “The Curse of the Black Pearl,” but it that doesn’t excite you consider a movie and a meal package for the 10:40pm showing on Thursday or any show on Friday a the nearby Dave & Busters.
El Capitan Theatre General Manager Ed Collins said, “The El Capitan Theatre is your Disney headquarters for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. At The El Capitan Theatre, guests will find themselves immersed in the world of the film — audience members can take a picture with Captain Jack Sparrow before every screening and they can visit the exclusive Pirates of the Caribbean prop and costume display.”
“Best of all we will be projecting the film in Dolby Vision 3D Laser Projection & Dolby Atmos Sound Technology – which is the best way to experience this film,” continued Collins.
The Double Feature Fan Event with Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl starts at 3:00 PM followed by Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales at 7:00PM. Admission is $50 per person, which includes: reserved seating, popcorn in a souvenir Metal Tin (with one free refill), 20 oz. bottled drink and an exclusive poster. Plus special Guest Appearances, Costume Contest, Prizes and Surprises!
Regular showings start on Friday May 26th at the El Capitan Theatre.
Events like this are why I miss living in Southern California. If you’re a SoCal resident, do you ever visit El Capitan Theatre for some Disney movie fun?
