Yesterday we shared the latest clip from Disney’s The Jungle Book and a YouTube 360 trailer that provided a 3D look at the movie poster when using Google’s Cardboard technology. It’s a pretty cool experience I recommend you give it a try. Today we’re excited to share a new way of doing those 360 VR trailers, that puts you in the movie.
In this case, we’re viewing the movie through the eyes of Mowgli as we encounter the seductive serpent Kaa in the jungle.
Are you brave enough to trussssst her? See Kaa’s Jungle Through Mowgli’s Eyes, a Facebook 360 Experience.

I like Scarlett Johansson, but hearing her voice coming from the sinister snake Kaa is a bit disconcerting.
If you want the full experience plan to visit one of the stops on the VR Tour that will hit AMC Theaters on the following dates
- 4/1 – 4/3 in San Diego, Kansas City and New York
- 4/8 – 4/10 in San Francisco, Chicago and Philadelphia
- 4/14 – 4/17 in Seattle, Minneapolis and Washington D.C.
- (If you’re in Hollywood, Houston, or Boston you already missed your part of the tour, sorry.)
To ensure the experience remains authentic to the film, director Jon Favreau oversaw production and direction of both experiences, working closely with the VFX companies who created the incredible characters and settings of the film. The above video is just part 1 of a longer Facebook 360 VR experience.
I wish it was coming to Orlando. Will it be playing in a city near you?
