In today’s photo and video update we return to Disney Springs, formerly Downtown Disney, to check in on the progress of its massive expansion.
While most of The Landing is complete, there is still construction work going on on two more restaurants, STK Orlando (which looks close to being finished) and The Edison (which will occupy the shell of the former Adventurers Club).
The whole Towncenter district has yet to open. Included in that area is a new bus stop, a second parking garage and 100+ new shops and dining locations.
We dropped in at the end of November and took a walk-around with our camera to capture the changes:
If you can’t watch the video, we have a huge collection of photos from Disney Springs below:
That is plenty of change for Walt Disney World’s original shopping district. I can’t wait to see it when it’s all done. It’s getting there, but not quite yet.
Thank you so much.
That video update was awesome!
I’ve always enjoyed Downtown Disney/Disney Springs, but these amazing new additions have me planning on spending even more time there on our next trip. And there’ll still be more new restaurants we haven’t tried waiting for us on our next couple trips after that.
