Finding the original Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

One of the chief advantages of being a location scout is you get to go just about everywhere. That’s Nick Carr’s job. He used to live in New York, but recently moved to Los Angeles and has been having a blast exploring a new city for locations or possibly just for fun.

One of the locations Carr visited was the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Upon entering he had the strangest feeling of deja vu, like he’d been there before when he knew he hadn’t.

See if it reminds you of anything…

Yep, it’s the interior lobby for Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

Read more about Carr’s discovery on his blog.

Although Carr doesn’t mention it, I wonder if this has to do with the rumored greenlight for a new movie about the Tower of Terror Disney attraction. Probably not, but that would be cool to film in the lobby that inspired the attraction.

  1. I’m failing to see how this is a “discovery.” Anyone who has been to both the Biltmore in L.A. and the Tower of Terror knows that the latter was obviously inspired by the former.
