Talented schoolkids from The Detroit Academy of Arts & Sciences choir realized a dream come true Monday, June 16, 2014 performing on stage in front of Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Ranging in age from 9 to 13, the students had a longtime dream of participating in the Disney Performing Arts program, which gives instrumental, vocal and other ensembles the chance to perform at Disney. Fortunes went stratospheric for the kids when their performance of PharrellÕs hit single, Happy, went viral. Amassing more than 1.5 million views, the video also captured the attention of national media and led to an appearance on the Ellen Degeneres Show. MondayÕs performance capped a magical weekend for the young dreamers at Disney World, learning about the entertainment business and doing what kids do best: play in DisneyÕs world-famous theme parks.
