Last week we shared the original trailer for Star Wars (released even before it was known as Episode 4: A New Hope) giving us a chance to get reacquainted with the excitement we felt when the original film was released. By the time the first sequel hit the theaters, every one knew that Star Wars was a great universe. All “The Empire Strikes Back” had to do was entertain.

Wow, trailers were different back then. I don’t think I’ve seen a trailer that featured concept art since… well The Empire Strikes Back.
I’m also noticing that it gives away some of the key plot points. That would never survive in the age of the internet where every frame is analyzed for possible spoilers.
And what’s up with that Stencil font at the end? What would you like to see from Disney’s first attempt at a new Star Wars film?
