It took them long enough, but Disney World has finally released a little bit of concept art for the new Little Mermaid meet & greet that will be attached to, but separate from, the larger attraction. The concept art for Ariel’s Grotto shows her seated on a giant seashell throne in mermaid form. The grotto is located within the base of the seaside cliffs to the right of Prince Eric’s Castle as you face the attraction.
According to the Disney Parks blog, the character greeting will debut during the New Fantasyland previews that begin on November 19. Previous incarnations of Ariel’s Grotto always drew long lines, so I would be prepared to wait to see her again.
Will you visit Ariel when New Fantasyland opens?
This means I need to visit Human Ariel with Eric before they’re gone!
Ariel is my favorite princess. :) I’m glad I met her in human form but i like her in mermaid form better. can’t wait for the grotto to return.
why does the concept artist only depict little girls meeting ariel? =[
she’s my all time favorite, and i will be standing in her line.
