The new Epcot attraction – Disney Phineas and Ferb Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure – won’t open until June, but three big talents behind the hit Disney Channel and Disney XD animated series got a sneak peek yesterday. Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” March are co-creators of Phineas and Ferb. Actor Vincent Martella gives voice to Phineas Flynn. The trio toured World Showcase as Walt Disney Imagineering explained the attractions details and storyline.
Here’s some footage and interviews provided by Disney of the trios tour through the park.
Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure is based on the wily secret-agent alter-ego of Phineas and Ferb’s pet, Perry the Platypus. Transforming into secret agents, Epcot guests will use a “high-tech secret agent device” to scour World Showcase for clues, evil “Inators” and – with a little bit of luck – help Agent P defeat his nemesis, Dr. Doofenschmirtz. The Agent P version replaces the Kim Possible version and is scheduled to open sometime in June, no firm date has been set as of yet.
I guess this means the Kim Possible ARG is getting the boot? :(
Alas, it does.
As I watched the video, some of the sound got cut off. Weird.
No offense, but just for the record, just because the title has “Disney without the apostrope s” in front of it doesn’t mean you have to say the whole thing word for word. I’d like to know whose idea it was to remove the apostrophe-s 2008-onward, but that’s not important right now. You could just simply say, “Phineas and Ferb: Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure.”
