I received a hint to go check out a website today and found a surprise waiting for me. No not Disney spam, but evidence of a special annual passholder screening for Disney’s upcoming spring mega-flick John Carter based on the Edgar Rice Burroughs “John Carter of Mars” stories. The film will be shown in the park on the big screen in 3D in the Premier Theater (the former Hunchback location that is now enclosed).
The site is wdwscreeningtickets.com and to all appearances it looks official. AP screenings will be available on a first come, first serve basis sometime beginning February 1st for screenings on March 3rd or 4th. Only APs will be allowed to reserve a spot, no guests allowed. Presumably this is due to the limited seats in the Premier Theater.
There will be three shows each day, but I do expect them to sell out quickly. So keep a sharp eye on The Disney Parks Blog on the 1st for them to give the signal that the site is live and have your whole families tickets handy (or at least copies of them (a good idea to keep as a backup anyway)) to make the reservations. John Carter is PG13 and may not be appropriate for all audiences.
I’m definitely looking forward to the movie and appreciate the chance for some of Disney’s biggest fans to get an early look at the film and, hopefully, to spread the good word about the film.

Looks like the site is live now, just signed up for tickets.
Thanks for the heads up, seeing this March 4 at 10am! :)
There’s something way better than that. D23 members can go to the PREMIERE for $5 (a “processing fee”) — essentially for free.
I have just received Mickey Mouse Monitor yesterday Feb. 16 . I have signed up right away for the tickets John Carter movie , I wasn’t surprise to see it was full , This is not fair for people just receive the Mickey Mouse Monitor I had no idea there was a screening for passholder, again I have missed out. I don’t know why I bother going on line for all the so called special events for passholder .
A discourage Annual Passholder AGAIN
Me too, just found out about it and it was completely sold out :(
Take advantage of the Passholder section of DisneyWorld.com, that is where you can get updated information on special events and other specials for Passholders.
