Editor: welcome back Rob Shahan with his recap of the Elimination Round.
WARNING SPOILERS: Hi there everyone and welcome to this week’s Dancing with the Stars Elimination Recap! Dancing Nation has spoken and this week Elisabetta Canalis was kicked off the dance floor!
Elisabetta finished in the middle of the leader board Monday night but it wasn’t enough to keep the actress from being shipped back to Italia. First George Clooney and now Reality TV, arrivederci Signora!
David and Chaz joined Elisabetta as the final 3 contestants in jeopardy and I must admit I was surprised to see Chaz survive the week despite his bad knees and ankle. It was his ailments that caused him to dance gingerly and painfully slowly Monday night.
Ricki (and dance partner Derek) danced the Encore of the Night and once again nailed the Jive!
A fun segment was DWTS Cribs, a take-off of MTV’s Cribs series. But instead of showing off someone’s house (and cars and bling), DWTS Cribs took us inside the rehearsal studio. Among the cooler things in the house was the dent in the floor where Hines Ward dropped Kym (Ouch!), the spray tanning room (they get sprayed every Sunday) and the costume room (Carson had the line of the night as he showed us a very bright yellow vest and said it looked like a “gay crossing guard”, LOL!). David did show us how he liked to hit plastic golf balls off the studio roof and try to hit the paparazzi below. I bet he sometimes wishes they were actual golf balls flying toward those pesky camera folks!
Demi Lovato gave a beautiful rendition of her number one hit “Skyscraper” while The Script entertained the crowd with their platinum hit single “For the First Time” as Chelsie Hightower and Dmitry Chaplin moved across the dance floor with skill and grace.
The Dance Troupe legged out a very leggy version of Dev’s “Dancing in the Dark” that had everyone Jammin’ (Yes Sarah, I was dancing in my bed too!).
Coming up next week, the Rumba!
