As Disney Cruise Lines is the owner of it’s own island in the Bahamas, it’s great to see how they are working on integrating some Environmentality into that community. More than 150 Bahamian children recently participated in a summer camp sponsored in part by Disney Cruise Line. Developed with Friends of the Environment, the eco-camps included classroom instruction by scientists working near Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, and interactive programs designed to inspire children to care about the planet. From the basics of recycling and water conservation to learning how to snorkel and swim with stingrays, campers focused on exploring the unique environment in their own backyard.

I am happy to see that Disney is willing to teach the locals how to become eco-friendly. I think that it teaches us not to take things for granite.
