The 33 heroes who survived survived 69 days trapped in a mine in Chile will be coming to Walt Disney World for a free vacation with their families. The trip will occur at the end of January and includes complimentary rooms, admission, and spending money. A highlight of the trip is sure to be a special heroes parade through the Magic Kingdom.
The gripping story was one of the most powerful moments of 2010 and the courage of the miners, their families, and the team that conducted the rescue served as an inspiration to people around the world. It would be great if Disney could also bring down some of the team of American miners who flew to Chile to help with the rescue for a reunion at the parks. That would really make a great kick off to a year where the motto is “Let The Memories Begin.”
The only question is will they be doing a “We’re going to Disney World” commercial? Too tacky?
