When Star Tours closed for an update at Disneyland with a D23 event, it really closed. But here in Orlando, flights are still departing daily to Endor until September 7th when D23 is holding an event for the Hollywood Studios version of the attraction.
‘s good news for fans of the ride, like my son, who can now squeeze in another ride, but might come as a shock to those who paid for a special event that claimed to be the “Last ride to Endor” for Celebration V attendees. Apparently there was some disclaimer about those guests being “among the last attendees”.
The fact is last has never really meant last for guest events at Disney parks. There is almost always a cast member only event after the park closes so those who work while others play can get in a little remembrance of their own.
Wish I could ride it one last time. Sadly we won’t be there until January 2011.
Flights to Endor still departing from Orlando even after 'last' event of Celebration V. Now D23 get the real last trip http://bit.ly/9oQebK

Poor Rex. Guess it’s time to visit his parents in Sarasota and maybe go out to the movies. Heh-heh.
