Engadget has video from a recent in park test of the Verizon Mobile Magic application on the HTC Hero. That’s big news because it means the app is available on the android system, which opens it up to a lot more phones. Additionally, it looks like they’re testing renting those devices to park guests for $9.99 a day.
Video and more at Engadget and the original Mobile Magic announcement from the Disney Parks blog.
Btw, I also saw on the news that Verizon is adding towers near/on Disney World property. That should help handle the increased use of these devices. Plus it makes me wonder about Jim McPhee’s Next-Gen project and if it will be Verizon based.
