A small incident on a Monorail at Walt Disney World resulted in a minor injury to a cast member and a report in the Orlando Sentinel. The monorail pilot received an electric shock while flipping a switch inside the nose cone. After a trip to the hospital the cast member was released. The whole monorail system was also shut down for about 30 minutes while systems were checked.
Frankly, the monorail system closing for 15-30 minutes is not unheard of these days. In fact, some weeks it seems almost a daily occurrence. I’d be curious to know which monorail had the problem today, if only to know whether it was a train that was recently upgraded or in need of an update.
