Reports from Hollywood are that Disney has sold it’s art house studio Miramax to a consortium of investors for $675 million. TheWrap.com had the scoop, although Disney refuses to confirm the report.
This ends a long strange chapter for Disney that found the family entertainment studio sometimes faced with much more adult subjects coming out of Miramax. In the end the 700 film library will end up a footnote in the Walt Disney story.
With that money they could either cover the losses of Prince of Persia OR buy a couple of homes at Golden Oaks!
