The Orange County Register has a beautiful and touching story of how one family with a dying 10 year old girl reached out to Pixar to fulfill her last wish of seeing the movie ‘UP’. The family couldn’t bring her to the theater since the child’s condition had deteriorated too far. Pixar responded by flying down an employee with a DVD of the movie and they made it just in time. The young girl died just a few hours after the viewing.
The story has deservedly made a huge impact and been re-told across the internet and around the world drawing over 400,000 page views. Now it’s even inspired someone to write a song and upload it to youtube (see the video below).
