See the exciting new concept art for new California Adventure “Pixar Play Parade” at Blue Sky Disney and the LA Times travel blog. Meanwhile Disney’s Hollywood Studios gets the “Pixar Block Party Bash” parade from California. Guest previews could start as soon as March 9th for both parades. But March 14th is the official date
Walt Disney World, Epcot, and Siemens rededicated the Spaceship Earth attraction yesterday in a cast only ceremony. I really wish they’d do more of these ceremonies A) during park hours and B) in the evening or weekend hours so I, and other Disney online media, could attend them. I’d be happy with just A for now. Meanwhile Imagineering Re-Birth Blog turns a critical eye toward some of the choices made in this latest version of Spaceship Earth.
Jeff at 2719 Hyperion continues his look at the physical places that were important in Walt Disney’s life. This time the historic Academy Theater in Hollywood California. I absolutely love this series from Jeff. It’s some of the best Disney writing on the web right now.
Mark your calenders for March 10th. The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger will be speaking at the Bear Stearns Media Conference. It will be simulcast on the web at www.disney.com/investors. (or just visit before the 24th to catch a replay.)
Covering The Mouse blog has a cover of “Cruella De Vil” by Steve Tyrell in honor of the recent release of a remastered 2-disc DVD set for 101 Dalmatians. I’ll be reviewing the DVD myself soon and kicking off a contest for some free DVDs and more! I also have some cool Marc Davis artwork to moon over. Stay tooned.
Finally, I enjoyed this “jet pack” tour video of Disneyland (found on DisneyFrontier).
