How has Disney Guest Service exceeded your expectations?

Becky Carroll of the Customers Rock blog relays her experience of how one Magic Kingdom Guest Relations cast member provided excellent customer service. Carroll was waiting on stand-by to see if she could join a Keys To The Kingdom backstage tour at the last minute. After she waited patiently for 30-minutes a cast member called… Read More »How has Disney Guest Service exceeded your expectations?

Historic Photos of Anaheim and Orlando

Fans of Disneyland and Walt Disney World sometimes forget that there was a city and a vibrant culture existing before the Mouse, with all its tourist baggage, moved in and changed the region forever. Turner Publishing has put out two books that look back at Anaheim and Orlando as they existed before Buzz Price led… Read More »Historic Photos of Anaheim and Orlando

Covering The Mouse, Music of, but not by, Disney

Covering The Mouse is a relatively new Disney blog that focuses on ‘covers’ of some of Disney’s best loved musical pieces. You won’t find any originals Disney songs linked to, but there are MP3’s of covers, interpretations and variations on the tunes we all love. Some of my favorite Disney songs are actually covers by… Read More »Covering The Mouse, Music of, but not by, Disney

Have an Enchanted Thanksgiving!

Susansarandonenchanted
This Wednesday, November 21st, Walt Disney Studio’s latest take on the Disney Princess will hit theaters in the form of "Enchanted." The film marks Disney’s return to hand-drawn animation in a 15-minute opening segment before the cast is propelled into the harsh reality of New York City. Early word on the film is good enough that Disney is rumored to be making plans to franchise the film with future films.

All the reviews up at Rotten Tomatoes the time of this post are positive. The Orlando Sentinel’s movie critic Roger Moore notes that Disney fans should be prepared for a film that isn’t afraid to poke fun at the Disney films that came before it. Seems like perfect holiday movie fare to me.

If you have a MySpace page you can visit Enchanted’s MySpace profile and try out the “Become a Disney 3D Character” feature. You can also visit the YouTube channel for the movie and see the Carrie Underwood’s just released music video "Ever Ever After".

The full summary of the film is below the cut:

Performance Capture

Ready or not, Roger Zemeckis is bringing his "Performance Capture" technique to the Walt Disney Studios, but there is still a lot of uneasiness about the results. Is it animation? Will it ever be able to cross that last gap of the uncanny valley? Judging by this weekend’s box office, the public doesn’t necessarily care.… Read More »Performance Capture
