Chris Sanders has landed at Dreamworks Animation according to Variety.
After a nearly 20-year stint, Sanders left Disney early this year over creative differences with studio leadership, including John Lasseter, over his movie "American Dog." Mouse is continuing the pic with a new director.
Best of luck to Sanders, he’ll be taking helm on ‘Crood Awakenings’, from the same author as ‘Racing Stripes’ and Monty Python vet John Cleese. I loved Sanders work on ‘Lilo and Stitch’ and it’s a shame Disney couldn’t find a space for him somewhere. I hope this doesn’t come back to bite Disney in the end.
