Walt Disney Studios takes the number one spot on the world wide box office chart with $3.26
billion so far this year. The large loot was led by a little film called "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s
Chest", but Pixar’s "Cars", and "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" also contributed large chunks.
If you bought Disney stock a year ago today (at $27.50), you would have realized approximately 30% growth for the year (to $34.66). Time to pop some champagne up there in Burbank. (Read)
