Usually when there is a price war it is to see who can be the first to get to the bottom of a price range. Think airline fare wars. Orlando theme parks, on the other hand, race to see who can get their ticket prices the highest first. The idea being that the public sees some correlation between value of the park and a high admission price. Not wanting to look like the poor step child of the Orlando theme parks, Universal Studios just upped their price to match Disney’s lofty $67 for a one day ticket. SeaWorld can’t be too far behind.
When will the madness end?
