When the 50 years of celebration promotion ends, a new promotion called "Year of a Million Dreams" will begin. The goal of this promotion will be to plus the experiences of a few select guests, some chosen randomly, with unique experiences including a chance to spend the night in the Cinderella Castle Apartment.
The apartment was original intended for the Disney Family when they visted the park. However, with the death of Roy Disney the apartment was never completed, until now. (Link)
Brilliant. Absolutely Brilliant.
This is what Disney is all about.
Fastastic move by Disney. Two reasons why it’s brilliant: 1) Creates a buzz that will attract crowds to WDW for months 2) You can’t reserve this, so there are no long waiting lists and no truly disappointed customers. It’s like the lottery. It’s great if you win but, you’re really not expecting to win. The only thing they could do to improve? Make a place to stay in each park. Staying in Epcot would be cool. FWIW, they could easily expand on the castle too. No one would notice a small addition for a second family.
