From the ‘it must be april fools’ department — Roy Disney has bought the Harlem Globetrotters.
Roy Disney’s Shamrock Holdings has purchased 80 percent of the Harlem Globetrotters from the team’s CEO, Mannie Jackson. Mr. Jackson will remain the team’s chairman and CEO as well as retaining 20 percent of the team.

We know this decision makes sense, because the last two Disney-related sports team purchases worked out so very wel- actually, umm, never mind.
(though to be fair, the World Series stuff in Anaheim a few years back was really kind of fun to watch)
