It used to be that all amusement parks ended up burned down, closed, or abandoned. Then Walt Disney came along and revolutionized the industry. I think we can all agree that was a good thing.
Thanks to IllicitOhio.com we have a look at some amusement parks that were from before Walt’s time or didn’t heed his advice. The Chippewa Lake park is particularly eerie and depressing.
Theme Park Insider writes that Six Flags, recently put up for sale, had better begin to remake itself or risk the fate of the Chippewa’s. I didn’t realize how many minor properties Six Flags owned.
