A Reuters story is reporting that the Hong Kong Government is asking Disney to reduce the number of visitors it allows inside the Hong Kong Disneyland park. Guests are standing in 3-hour long lines for some popular attractions and having to wait upto 30 minutes for food.
Welcome to Disneyland everyone. 2-3 hour waits are not uncommon for standby lines at the major attractions when the California park is near capacity (56,000-60,000 people estimated right now). Waits of 45-60 minutes for food are also not uncommon, even on less crowded days if some of the eateries are closed.
I’ve never been in favor of capping attendance, but it’s a practice that has served the Tokyo Disney Parks well.
