One of my favorite memories at Disneyland is the day the Women’s Soccer World Cup Championship team came to the park. Thousands upon thousands of young girls and young women were there to cheer on their new heroes. The park put on a great show for them and you couldn’t help to feel good about the future of women’s sports and sportsmanship, possibly about the future of the world. At the least it was the beginning of a long run for the US Women’s Soccer team. A run that just ended at the Olympics.
The Women’s Olympic Soccer team is not scheduled for a visit to either American Disney park yet. But members of the US Swim team have already been to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. So without further ado I present, LaughingPlace.com’s coverage of the U.S. Olympic Swimming Stars at Disney World.
