Narnia: my review
C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien were contemporaries who both wrote
seminal books for different markets. In turn each became the models for
much genre literature to come. I read all the books as a kid, Lord of
the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia. The Lord of the Rings series I
reread many times, became immersed in that world, and a fan of all
associated materials. But of The Chronicles only The Lion, The Witch,
and The Wardrobe really stuck with me. I just reread for the first time
since my youth and found it simple, pleasurable, with an engaging story.
