Discovery Cove offering Florida Resident Discount

I’m really looking forward to this weekend because SeaWorld Orlando has invited me to a complimentary visit to the all-inclusive Discovery Cove including a Dolphin Encounter experience. This is something I’ve always wanted to do, but the opportunity never really solidified until now. We’re talking bucket-list here. I’ll be sure to report back on my day.

It’s the off-season, which means that Discovery Cove is again offering a Florida *and Georgia* resident discount. A day pass with a Dolphin Encounter starts at $199 and the Day Resort level starts at $129. Book soon as availability is filling up between now and December 25th when the special ends. So if you happen to live local and want to experience Discovery Cove for yourself, now’s your best chance.

Admission to Discovery Cove includes the use of lockers, wetsuit, towels and mask during your stay, free parking, shower amenities, souvenir snorkel, complimentary entry photo, continental breakfast, lunch, all drinks and snacks, access to the Explorer’s Aviary, Tropical Reef, Serenity Bay, Wind-away River, a 14-Consecutive day pass to either SeaWorld Orlando or Busch Gardens Tampa!

And don’t worry about the water temperature! The temperature of their pools remains constant throughout the year. The fresh water Serenity Bay and Wind-away River are maintained around 86 F (30 C). The salt water dolphin pools, Stingray Shallows, and Coral Reef are 77 F (25 C). So even if it is a bit chilly outside (like it will be 77 F this weekend) the water is always fine.

If anyone else has been to Discovery Cove, I’m looking for hints on what to do there and if there is anything out of the way that I just shouldn’t miss.
