How to make a Perry the Platypus Cake

My son has lately become a huge fan of the Phineas & Ferb animated series on The Disney Channel and Disney XD. That’s fine with me, I find it a show we can watch together due to some of the humor that appeals to adult experiences. Part of what separates the show from other series is that every episode has a b-plot involving an undercover spy living at the boys house. His mild mannered disguise? That of a flat footed platypus, they’re the only mammal that lays eggs.

So I’m hereby serving notice that this Perry the Platypus cake tutorial will find its way to the Frost household someday soon. Perhaps for a birthday party.

Not the home-economics type? Then you might enjoy this Las Vegas style musical number with Wayne ‘The Man” Newton singing the praises of Phineas and Ferb. It also features what I take to be one of the first appearances of a Perry the Platypus character costume.
