Six Flags Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

It doesn’t come as much of a surprise that theme and amusement park operator Six Flags has filed for bankruptcy protection.  Times are tough all around, and running a major park requires the regular infusion of large capital invesments (that new rides, to you and me).  For now, the parks will continue to operate, which is good news as school is out and it is time for the summer theme park season.  Here’s a Forbes article.

I’m not surprised, we went to Disneyland – Magic Mountain – Disneyland in 3 days back to back. We loved Disney and loved the rides at Magic Mountain, but the service was beyond terrible. There really is something to say for the Disney experience.
