Eisner decides now is the time to make money

Michael Eisner wants to leave the Disney Company on sound financial footing. “It’s in my interest that when I leave, the company is in good enough shape that it will take a decade to screw it up,” Eisner said. Of course, that is exactly what most Disney fans think Eisner’s been doing the past decade — screwing it up. Earth to Michael, this is why you’re on the way out right now, a full decade earlier than the mandatory retirement that caused the exit of your chief nemesis, Roy E Disney.

There does seem to be some good news. ABC has a few good shows on its hands this season and the film divisions are doing better now (a good thing after all those flops).
