I had the chance to preview the newly updated Test Track 3.0 at EPCOT, thanks to a helpful cast member. We ended up experiencing the attraction three times in one visit. While this wasn’t the full grand opening experience (the attraction officially reopens July 22), it offered a solid look at what guests can expect when the doors open later this summer.

Test Track 3.0 keeps the same track layout and ride vehicles but introduces an all-new storyline inspired by EPCOT’s past, specifically the World of Motion attraction that originally occupied the space. General Motors remains the sponsor, but the ride has moved away from crash test theming and now leans into a sleek, future-forward journey that highlights sustainability, innovation, and concept car technology.
In the video above, I share my initial thoughts, including a few nitpicks (there’s one room that feels a little undercooked) and several highlights, including a visually stunning scene that’s so good, I wish it lasted longer. There are thoughtful Easter eggs for longtime EPCOT fans, including nods to The Land and the original World of Motion logo, and subtle storytelling choices that show Imagineering hasn’t lost its touch.
Overall, Test Track 3.0 feels like a quieter but meaningful evolution. It may not be flashy, but it reflects the spirit of discovery that EPCOT was founded on.
