This summer, CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT has transformed into a goof-tastic indoor playground called GoofyCore as part of the Walt Disney World resort’s Cool Kid Summer promotion. It’s the ultimate spot to beat the Florida heat during this Gooftastic Summer!
If you’re looking for a place where your kids can dance, play, and let out some energy while staying cool in the A/C, this is the place to be.
Step inside and you’ll find Goofy himself leading the fun, with DJ dance parties spinning kid-friendly tunes all day long. There’s Loopy Limbo, where the bar moves in the wackiest ways, and Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks, a game that’s guaranteed to get everyone giggling.

It’s all about moving, grooving, and being a little bit silly. A perfect experience for kids ages 2 to 12. Just a quick reminder: parents, supervision is required while your little ones are playing.
And while the nearby festival food kitchens are currently closed, there’s still something special for families. Don’t miss the EPCOT Kidcot Station, where kids can grab a souvenir and learn a little something along the way.
So if you’re at EPCOT this summer, make sure to stop by GoofyCore at CommuniCore Hall. It’s a fun, air-conditioned break for kids and a chance for adults to relax while the kids play!
My Take:
To be honest, this isn’t the use of CommuniCore Hall I expected when it was first announced. I had pictured it as a festival center, buzzing with food demos, tastings, and culinary events.

But the more I’ve thought about it, the more I realize that CommuniCore Hall was designed as a flexible exhibit space, ready to host different experiences throughout the year. It’s not a Festival Center (EPCOT desperately needs a Festival Center, but that’s a topic for another post.)
With that in mind, this GoofyCore makeover feels like a smart use of the space. The design is well-executed, and it’s genuinely fun and inviting. I also appreciate the inclusion of chairs for adults—a small touch that makes a big difference for parents.
That said, my one disappointment is that the food kitchen isn’t being utilized. I would love to see that space activated for food events during the summer.
