Aulani Resort’s Signature ‘AMA ‘AMA Restaurant to Reopen This Fall

Aulani Resort's Signature ‘AMA ‘AMA Restaurant

Guests planning a stay at Aulani Resort, A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawai’i will be happy to learn the signature oceanside restaurant ʻAMA ʻAMA will be reopening this fall.

Changes

Disney says when ʻAMA ʻAMA reopens, it will provide a new upscale dinner-only dining experience.

The restaurant, named after the ‘ama‘ama fish of Hawai’i, will have a revamped menu featuring locally-inspired dishes, as well as a new cocktail and wine menu.

The interior will also look a bit different.

For instance, leaning into its name, new light fixtures are inspired by traditional Hawaiian fish baskets.

Through collaborative efforts led by Disney Imagineer Jeanette Lomboy, guests will notice familiar details seemingly left by generations of family members, including the resort’s beloved Aunty and Uncle, who lived in this space and continued to expand on it over time.

Everything has a story behind it.

Location

‘AMA ʻAMA restaurant is located adjacent to Off the Hook in the Waikolohe Valley pool area, near the entrance to the beach.

Plans are for a grand opening this fall, and when they announce a set date they will start accepting reservations, we’ll let you know.

In the meantime, Aulani offers several other dining locations to enjoy, including the Ka Wa’a Lu’au.
