Love the Disney Treasures. Nov. 3 saw the release of two sets of Zorro tv shows from the 50s! So far, my faves are Spin & Marty, The Hardy Boys, Annette, Behind The Scenes, Your Host Walt Disney, Davy Crockett & Disneyland USA. I watched ALL of these Disney shows on ABC starting with the Disneyland TV Show in 1954.

We watched Disneyland park being built on the Disneyland TV Show. In 1955, The Mickey Mouse Club debuted and I was hooked! Especially the serials. Spin & Marty & The Hardy Boys were the guys I wanted to hang with and/or be!

I am interested in talking to members with other Disney Treasures DVDs, especially some I don't own. For example, "Secrets, Stories & Magic", & "Tomorrowland".

What are your favorite releases in the Disney Treasures series?

In the past couple weeks, I've been streamlining my DVD collection, so I sold a few of the Treasures sets that I had that I didn't watch often, but the 2 that I've had the longest and are my favorites (and the only 2 I kept) are "Behind the Scenes at the Walt Disney Studio" and "On the Front Lines". I think that "The Reluctant Dragon" is fun (I love Baby Weems!), and all the anthology show episodes are interesting, as are the wartime shorts.

I think that the Treasures sets are great ideas- there really is something for everyone- whether you grew up with the shows of the '50s, or you're into the animated shorts, or into more scientific or how-to type shows.

I've read some opinions of people who say that the Treasures series would be an ideal way to release "Song of the South"...as long as it gets a DVD release, I wouldn't care what label it has, but I think that a Treasures set of it would have some great bonus features.

blackcauldron- those are my two favorite "Treasures" sets as well. I also like the "Rarities" and "Your Host, Walt Disney," especially since by the time I got cable, Vault Disney on Disney Channel was no more. It's so great to actually get to watch a few episodes of such an interesting and unique show. My Disney Treasures interest even got my mom collecting- she was so excited to find "Dr. Syn: The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh"!
