I’m Lost

I’m lost without my Lost. If you’re like me you’ll be wandering around in this TV wasteland until JJ Abrams and the ABC powers that be decide to drop whatever additional hints they chose to in the September (I can’t believe I have to wait until September) season two premiere. So here are some things… Read More »I’m Lost

Long Live the Disney Magazine

Reading this post about the diminishing power of traditional media (via BoingBoing.net ) reminded me of the big news that Jim Hill Media broke yesterday, Disney Magazine has published its last issue (no official announcement on the website yet). Space Mountain II???

Gone are the old visuals and conscientiously French theme based on Jules Verne’s novel "From the Earth to the Moon." ATIS CGI Ride-Thru DVD

If you’re over thirty and a fan of Disneyland then you probably remember the classic Tomorrowland attraction Adventure Thru Inner Space (ATIS). If your parents were fans of the attraction there is a chance that you were even concieved there too. The dark spaces were favorite make-out spots in the days before infrared cameras. Yesterland… Read More »ATIS CGI Ride-Thru DVD

Gargoyles, the first season on DVD

Disney has released the first season of their animated TV series Gargoyles on a Special Edition DVD. Apparently it’s a big hit. It’s Amazon DVD sales rank today is #144. I loved watching this show durings its first run. It thought it was smart, well voiced, and often beautifully drawn. Disney really did some of their best work during that Disney Afternoon phase. As my son grows up I hope figure out what they were doing then and capture some of that magic again. Until then this will just have to go on my wish list.
