Write for The Disney Blog
The pace of Disney related news has again picked up. Not just are more people writing about Disney. But The Walt Disney Company is doing a lot more online itself. So once again, The Disney Blog is looking for Disney fans to join the team and help explore the news about all facets of the Walt Disney Company, it’s history, and the Disney fan community.
In particular The Disney Blog is looking for someone willing to do any or all of the following:
- reviews of Disney podcasts and online video (official & fan versions),
- Disney Channel news and reviews,
- ABC and ABC Family shows news and reviews,
- Disney travel hints and advice,
- general Disney business reporting (includes ESPN and other divisions).
But really just about any topic is fine as long as it pertains to Disney.
Having your own blog is not an obstacle. As long as its content is PG-13 rated, you’re welcome to link back to it with every post. Not having your own blog is no obstacle either. New blog authors will be expected to post at least once a week, but more frequent posting is encouraged.
If you’re interested, please send an email to johnfrost [at] gmail [dot] com. Briefly let me know where your interests lay and where I can see any of your online writing.
Applications will be accepted through the end of January.

The numbers of talented people who post on The Disney Blog have begun to grow, so I thought it would be important to set up some sort of permanent introduction to each of them. Here they are in no particular order.
Whit Honea
Bio: Whit Honea is a father of two great boys
(and a husband to one lovely lady). He is a struggling writer and a
successful bartender. His love for Disney began as a boy with yearly
family trips from Tucson to Disneyland, an official Mickey Mouse Club
certificate on his bedroom door, and two front teeth that would make
Goofy proud. He had a brief run as a cast member working for The
Disney Store (back in the glory days) and has spent more money on
Disney merchandise than on his college education and his house
combined. He proposed to his wife at The Magic Kingdom in the rose
garden and has the pictures to prove it. Further evidence of his
existence, including the occasional Disney rant, can be found in these ramblings. Can also be seen on: Honea Express, FameCrawler, and Dad Centric.
Ken Pellman
Bio: Ken Pellman has been following all things Disney for as long as he
can remember, focusing especially on the theme parks. He has been
writing for LaughingPlace.com since the site was launched. He grew up
in South Pasadena, California, becoming a Disneyland annual passholder
in 1985, and is again an annual passholder after a 15-year stint as a
cast member. Ken has a BA in Thematic Environmental Design.
He lives in Anaheim with his wife and their dog and is a Public
Information Officer in addition to being a freelance writer and voice
talent. Ken Pellman owns several hundred shares of Disney. Can also be seen on: Ken & Kori, and Kenversations.

Mark Baker
Bio: As long as I can remember, I’ve had a love of Disney. As a kid it was an obsession with Peter Pan. When I was in high school, the second golden age movies were hitting the theaters, and I still consider Beauty and the Beast my all time favorite movie. I do own all the original animated classics on VHS and DVD as well as quite a few of Disney’s live action movies.
I grew up in Northern California, and dreamed of living closer to Disneyland. Now that I’m in Southern California, I make at least a yearly pilgrimage to The Happiest Place on Earth.
My love of Disney has shown up in other ways as well. During college, I wrote papers on Walt Disney and Disneyland Paris. And I’ve recently succumbed to the trading pin craze and am trying to make up for lost time.

Amanda White
Bio: My Mickey adventure began when I was 3. My mom was 8 months pregnant with my little bro but she and my dad decided I needed my first Disney experience. Since then I’ve invaded Disney World with my family numerous times, with my best friend when we graduated from High School and with my husband on our honeymoon. I envied the kids on the 90’s version of the Mickey Mouse Club (pre-Britney and JT). I even won a Disney Channel Read, Write & Draw contest and Vincent Price read my winning story on air! I’ve sailed with the Magic and the Wonder. I lived in Celebration, FL for 3 years and loved living in the shadow of the Mouse. I’m passing on the fandom to my little girl who is affectionately nicknamed Snow (as in White), she got her first haircut at the barbershop on Main Street at only 10 months old! In my non-Mickey life, I’m just a 30 year old sahm who blogs and hangs out with her family. (Oh, and The Little Mermaid? Yeah, I can quote the whole thing.)
